Stepheniemeyerletter

Dear Stephenie Meyer, My imagination is the one thing I hold most dear to me. It is what helps me dream at night and daydream through the day. Imagination can build and destroy kingdoms, unite familys, and teach lessons. But most importantly, imagination can help you find yourself. Until a few months ago, my imagination was trapped inside my head, barred by the logical constraints of common life. It yearned to be free again, to see a pen and paper. It longed to describe rolling meadows, dancing princesses, and handsome knights. Yet it remained in my mind, trapped within my maturity. Yet when I paused from my testbooks, biographies, and news articles to read Twilight, my imagination saw the light of day again. Inspired by the happy medium linking a story of common teenage love and fantasy creatures, I once again began to write from the depths of my imagination. Today I continue, forever thankful to have discovered how to imagine again. I cannot fathom how I would have gone on as a writer if my maturity had buried my imagination for good. If ever one of my creations makes it out there, I hope that somehow you smile in recognition that your works inspired others. Thank you
